Welcome Spring!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break.  The spring weather has been great.  Our theme this week is "Spring, Flowers, Growing"  We have been exploring seeds, flowers and how people, plants and animals grow.  Of course we have been playing outside.  The high school teachers are planning Language and Literacy activities for their buddies.  These activities go along with their unit of study which is Language Development.  The high school students will be learning about all the areas of development...Physical, Social/emotional and Cognitive as our school years ends.

Dad's Day at Preschool

On Valentine's Day the preschoolers invited their dad's to spend the day at school.  Dad's and preschoolers played, sang songs, did a craft and had snack!  This is a great way for dad's to get a look at their child's day at school.  The preschoolers were very excited to have their dad's at school!

Open House … Monday Feb. 11 from 1:00-2:00 in Rm. 702

Applications for the 2013-2014 school year will be accepted beginning the week of Feb. 14.

• Applications are available in the high school main office.
• Applications may be turned in to the high school main office or mailed.
• Applications are due by Friday Feb. 15 at 4 pm.
• We will continue to accept applications throughout the year to fill available spots or be placed on the waiting list.
• All applicants will receive a letter confirming their enrollment by the end of February.

Children applying for preschool should live in the Tigard district and need to be 3 years old before Sept. 1, 2013.  Parents will be asked to provide proof of age and residency at the time of application. 

Those accepted into the program will be asked to pay a $75.00 non-refundable registration fee to hold their place in the program.  This fee will also serve as a materials and snack fee for the following school year.

In the past all who have applied have gotten a spot in the program.  There has been a minimal waiting list. 

Little Tigers Preschool offers three different preschool sessions.  One session for 4 year olds is offered on M-W-F from 8:45-11:15 am, tuition is currently $125.00 a month.  The Pre-k class meets Tues-Fri from 12:00-2:30 pm, tuition is currently $150.00 a month.  The third session for 3 year olds meets on Tues and Thur from 9:00-11:00 am, tuition is currently $100.00 a month.

The school year is off to a great start!  The children have settled in nicely and are enjoying preschool.
